The Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that the Special Tony Award will be presented to Hugh this year and here's whatPhilip J. Last week Hugh Jackman confirmed that even though The Wolverine initially wanted to shoot in Japan , natural disasters kept the productions out of the Land of the Rising Sun and they had to relocate to Jackman’s native land of Australia. But FOX CEO Tom Rothman revealed to MTV that while the stage work will be done in Australia, the location work would still be done in Japan. The CEO told MTV (via /Film):
"It’s set in Japan. A great number of Japanese actors will be in it and it’s based on the very famous run of the comics… I can just tell you on behalf of [Hugh Jackman], his goal is to make the ultimate, bad ass, berserker rage Wolverine.”

Hugh Jackman will bring a little bit of Broadway to Melbourne for the 20th anniversary of the Red Ball.
Hugh will perform excerpts from his hugely successful Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway stage show at the black-tie charity fundraiser at the Crown Palladium on October 20.
Jackman's performance will make the event, which raises funds for the Fight Cancer Foundation, the year's hottest charity gala ticket.
Hugh and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, who will also attend the ball, are patrons of the charity in which they have a deep interest. Furness's mother, Fay Duncan, was a driving force behind its establishment and is chairman of the Red Ball committee. ... Read more »

Hugh knows well the many aspects to Clifton's extraordinary talent.He has attended openings that included Clifton's works in New York, Los Angeles and Berlin. However, Hugh recognized another side of Clifton's talent, his extraordinary voice and ability to sing in his Indigenous Walmajarri language. Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on Wednesday by hosting a charity gala their home in New York. The couple marked the special date by opening the doors of their Manhattan apartment for a fundraising reception in aid of the Friends of Hudson River Park organization, which funds a long running project to expand the green space. Guests including Lauren Bush Lauren, G ary Ginsberg, Michael Novogratz, Lisa Silverstein and Kelly Sugarman all toasted the couple.
