Hugh Jackman and Claude-Michel Schönberg the composer on Feb.7

Hugh tweeted on Feb. 7 that he was honored to be learning the new song with composer Claude-Michel Schönberg. So the fans were wondering what was the name of the song. Les Misérables producer Cameron Mackintosh confirmed that the in-production film version of the epic Victor Hugo-inspired musical will feature a new song for Jean Valjean. "Well, he did warn us he was going to Tweet," Mackintosh told Playbill.com on Feb. 8. "He didn't hear the song until yesterday when he went through it with Claude-Michel."
Written by the stage hit's original songwriting team of Schönberg, Alain Boublil and lyricist Herbert Kretzmer, the new number is called "Suddenly," the producer revealed. ... Read more »

Despite some production delays, the highly-anticipated franchise sequel, The Wolverine, appears to be back on track and now has an official release date of July 26, 2013.

To be directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine will follow up 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and finds Logan beginning a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. Since Logan won't take "no" for an answer, it puts him into battle with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers and Silver Samurai.

The new release date tentatively puts the project up against Lionsgate's Dirty Dancing remake and Walt Disney Pictures' Phineas and Ferb film.

Christopher McQuarrie provided the original screenplay with rewrites performed by Mark Bombac... Read more »

‘Warrambeen’ is the most unique film festival in Australia, if not the world. They show short films from all corners of the globe on four screens within a Sheep farm, ‘Warrambeen’. They also show Aussie features at night to the camping audience.

Casting is quickly firming up on Tom Hooper’s adaptation of international blockbuster musical "Les Miserables”, but while some of the major roles are still being negotiated, a strong supporting character has been finalized. Little known stage and screen actor George Blagden has been cast as student revolutionary Grantaire. Blagden will share most of his screentime with Eddie Redmayne and Aaron Tveit, whose Marius and Enjolras are close friends and fellow revolutionaries alongside Grantaire, who Valjean encounters in the second act of the story.
Blagden is a neophyte to the ... Read more »

The original stars of the stage version of musical Les Miserables will join Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in the big-screen version, which begins rehearsals on Monday.

Colm Wilkinson, who was the first Jean Valjean, and Frances Ruffelle, who created the part of Eponine, have been given feature roles in the movie.

‘"I have bought your soul for God!” the bishop says to Valjean — and it’s a beautiful moment,’ Cameron said.
